One week skiing in Davos, and my step fathers 60th anniversary. Have you ever been wondering, where Swiss winter tourists spend their Holidays?
My step fathers 60st anniversary was the reason for Anne and me to go once more to Switzerland. The celebration of his birthday was in Davos, one of his favourite holiday destinations in Switzerland. This was a wonderful choice also for us, since Anne wanted to ski and I was anyway missing the mountains - remember that I am currently living in flat Denmark...

Davos is a lovely village 1560 meters high up in the Swiss mountains. It likes to be seen as Europes highest holiday and congress town, global village and alpine metropolis of diversity - as they write on their own website. Let's have a look at some details:

There are 320 km of ski slopes, 57 km of cross-county tracks in wintertime and 450 km of excellent hiking trails in the summertime available. Davos has 13247 inhabitants. The guests, of which around 47% are natives, find place in the 5770 beds in hotels and the 15525 beds in apartments. There are many sport centres around like an athletics stadion, ice stadion, soccer fields, tennis courts, etc. Davos has also a cozy center with some pubs, a shopping street, a casino and a diversity of cinemas.

We had a very nice stay with my family and lots of fun in the snow. Thanks to everyone for being there and hope to see you soon again!
